Hockey is played together

Playing hockey at HC Eindhoven is something you do for fun and especially together with your teammates. During training and matches, on and around the field. Everyone at their own level. For some this is more serious and performance-oriented, for others mainly recreational.

Youth Committee

In addition to dividing the teams, the youth committee is responsible for the guidance of the teams and, together with the technical staff, organizes training and coach information evenings for the supervisors, players and parents. The youth committee consists of various line coordinators, who manage the boys' or girls' line in a certain age group. If you have a specific question about the line in which you/your child plays hockey, it is best to contact the relevant chairman of the line coordinators by email (see organization)

Age categories

When you turn five in October, you can already join the club to play hockey. You start in the talent campus to learn how to play with a stick and ball. Even if you have no experience, you start in the Talent Campus and then move on to a team with the youth or juniors.

The KNHB uses age categories in field hockey, with the reference date being October 1 in the current season. Depending on your age, you will be placed in a boys' or girls' team.

Performance or recreation

Are you fanatic and do you have ambition to make quick steps in the hockey sport or do you want to play with friends for fun, then you have the possibility to indicate this. When composing the teams, we try to take into account the level and ambitions of the members as much as possible.

What do you need to play field hockey?

Artificial grass shoes are recommended, but shin guards and a mouth guard are a necessity. We find safety for our youth very important! As clothing you can wear normal sports clothing.

Only when you play official matches with a team you will have to buy the club outfit. Finally, the most important thing: a hockey stick! You can borrow this for the 3 trial training sessions at our clubhouse, after that you buy your own stick.
